"Welcome to...Prehistoric Valley!"
Hello Everybody:
I've been thinking about this now for about six months and finally decided this weekend was as good as any to start up this blob (I mean blog). Prehistoric Valley will be the home for all things prehistoric as well as some corresponding related subjects of today. The past is fascinating, in particular the time before written history. That gives us lots of subject material as the Earth is extremely ancient and the time of written history only covers well under a hundred thousand years.
Now, as to what will appear here, well, the list is endless. the lion's share of subjects will probably center around Dinosaurs though a few other interesting inhabitants may find their way into Prehistoric Valley. There may even be some posts about early humans as well. We'll talk about new releases in books that cover the subject, (both non-fiction and fiction), articles, and even the movies, toys and comics covering all things prehistoric. We might even allow a few certain far East fictional giants to rear their monstrous heads in Prehistoric Valley on occasion. Finally, we may take a few fictional romps through this vast ancient arena where time stands still and ancient vistas of the ancient world pile up in one place, one time. That should make for some interesting entries for sure.
Now, as to why I'm doing this; well, let's just say I enjoy it and would like to share my interests with others, maybe even build some friendships here in Prehistoric Valley. As a child I fell in love with Dinosaurs thanx to Sinclair gas stations and their Mascot Dino the Dinosaur. At the time Apatosaurus was still being called "Brontosaurus" and I was hooked. I think I even had a Sinclair Dinosaur at one time but I was pretty young myself. I also found the Flintstones fascinating as this great cartoon depicted very modernized "Cavemen" living with, and using the services, of Dinosaurs. Also, how could the show go wrong when the Flintstones kept a baby Brontosaurus for a pet along with a Saber-Toothed Cat. "Dino" was purple but nobody cared since we really have no clue as to what colors dinosaurs were.
So, enough of this banter, grab a backpack and let's take a little trip and have some fun in the land where the ancient worlds of the earth's past all collide into one singularity known as..."Prehistoric Valley!"
Have a Wonderful Day!!!
The "Creature"
